Delivery

We ship worldwide from the EU. Shipping costs and delivery times are shown at checkout before you pay, from launch day. We publish them here the day our carrier contracts are signed.

Returns

The Night Set is worn on the head, so the returns rule has to be clear. It is published before the shop opens, and it will say the same thing on the product page, on Shipping and returns, in the FAQ and in your order email: plain, fair, and never less than your rights as a consumer in your country.

Giving it

Every set is packed by hand in the Lorabel box with a thank-you card inside, so it arrives ready to give. Buying for someone else? Choose their hair length, not yours.

The silk

Silk on the outside of the rod, the bonnet and the scrunchies. The fibre, the momme weight, the grade and the certificate are published on this page the moment our samples pass their checks. We'd rather tell you later than tell you something we haven't held in our hands.

Reviews

None yet, on purpose. The first ones come from women who test the set before launch, each with her hair type and length next to her words. No stars we haven't earned.

What's in the box

Giving it?

The Night Set is a present before it's a product. The box is the wrapping, every set is packed by hand, and a thank-you card goes in on top. It arrives ready to give, even when it's to yourself.

Buying for someone else? Choose their hair length when you join the list and we'll remember it.

How to use it

  1. Start almost dry

Hair 80 to 95 percent dry. Not wet, not damp. This is the one rule that decides the morning.

  2. Place the rod

Clip the top section up at the crown. Lay the rod across the top of your head like a headband.

  3. Wrap

Twist each side away from your face and wrap it around the rod, crown to ends. Let the crown down and wrap it in with the last turns; the clip comes out. A scrunchie at each end.

  4. Sleep

    Bonnet on. That's it.

  5. Unwrap

In the morning, slide the rod out and shake out the curls with your fingers. Don't brush.

The full routine, with tips for your hair type

The morning didn't work? Six fixes, one for each thing that goes wrong.

Designed around the six things that go wrong

We read through the reviews of other curl sets before we drew ours. The same six complaints came up again and again. Here is what the Night Set is designed to do about each one. Designed to, because our testers have the last word, not us.

  • It slipped off in the night.

The bonnet goes over everything, so it's designed to stay put.

  • Fine hair fell out of it.

A grip strip along the rod is in testing to hold fine hair.

  • It was hard to sleep in.

A soft core and no wire, and a rod that fits your length.

  • It only works on long hair.

A shorter rod for shoulder-length hair is in testing.

  • It did nothing.

Usually the hair was too wet. The almost-dry rule is on the card and in the video.

  • Flat crown, dents, no clip.

A claw clip for the crown and wide scrunchies are in the box.

The label, in plain words

What it's made of

Everything we know about what the set is made of, in one place, with the honest gaps where we're still waiting on the samples. The gaps close here first.

In the box
Silk curling rod, silk bonnet, two wide scrunchies, claw clip, how-to card, and the Lorabel box with a thank-you card inside.
Outer fabric
Silk. The fibre, the momme weight, the grade and the certificate are published here when the samples pass their checks.
Rod core
Soft foam core, no wire. A velvet grip strip along the middle is being tested for fine hair.
Rod lengths
Long, for shoulder-length hair and longer. Shoulder, a shorter rod, in testing. The exact lengths in centimetres are measured on the final samples and printed here.
Bonnet
The same silk as the rod, in the matching colour. Made to go over the rod and your hair; the head sizes it fits are measured on the samples.
Scrunchies
Two, wide, one for each end. Wide so they are designed to hold without leaving a dent.
Claw clip
Holds the hair at the crown while you wrap, then comes out. Nothing hard goes to bed with you.
Colours
Rose, vanilla and cocoa, our three colours. Which part gets which is decided from the final silk colour card.
Care
Hand wash cool with a gentle detergent, or a mesh bag on the delicate cycle. No bleach, no tumble dryer, no direct sun. Lay flat or hang in the shade.

Questions, answered

Will it work on my hair length?

The Long rod is made for hair from the shoulders down. A shorter rod for shoulder-length and shorter hair is in testing; if the sample passes, it launches too. Find your length in three taps.

Will it work on my hair type?

It's designed for every hair type: fine, medium, thick, wavy and curly. The how-to card and the video have a tip for each. Results differ from head to head, which is why we show only real testers and never promise what your hair will do.

Is it comfortable to sleep in?

It's designed to be: a soft foam core, no wire, and a rod that fits your length instead of one size for everyone. Whether it is comfortable is for our testers to say, and we'll publish what they say.

Can I sleep on my side?

Yes. Wrap a little higher so the rod sits above your ear. The bonnet is designed to keep everything in place however you sleep.

How dry should my hair be?

Almost dry: 80 to 95 percent. Not wet, not damp. It's the rule that decides whether the curls set by morning.

How long do the curls last?

We don't know yet, honestly, and we won't guess. Our testers will tell us, and we'll tell you what they said.

Is it real silk?

Silk on the outside of the rod, the bonnet and the scrunchies. The fibre, the momme weight, the grade and the certificate are published on this page the moment our samples pass their checks. We'd rather tell you later than tell you something we haven't held in our hands. Silk School, in plain words.
